instrumentpackmessagecentretoindicatethatthe
keyisstillinthecar.

PthevehiclemustbeinanON/READYstateandthe
footbrakeapplied.
Ifyourcarissubjecttostrongradiosignalsthekeyless
entryandstartsystemsmaysufferfrominterferenceand
notfunctioncorrectly.Pleaseseethe‘AlternativeStarting’
procedure.
READYMode
SettingthepowersystemintoREADYmode:
1Ensureallunnecessaryelectricalloads(incAC)are
switchedoff.
2Ensuretheparkingbrakeisapplied.(referto"Brake
System"ofthischapter)
3EnsurePorNisselected.
4Pressthebrakepedal.
5PresstheST ART/STOPSwitch(donotholdthebutton
in,releaseimmediately).
6ThegreenindicatorwillilluminateandREADYwillbe
displayedintheinstrumentpackmessagecentre.
ColdClimates
Intemperaturesof-10℃andbelow,enginecrankingtime
willincrease.Itisessentialthatallunnecessaryelectrical
equipmentisswitchedoffwhilecranking.
