stagewhentheynolongerrequirechildseatrestraints,at
thispointtheywillrequireuseofthevehiclestandardseat
belt.Pleaseensuretheseatbeltiscorrectlypositionedon
thebodyofthechild.
Whenfasteningaseatbeltforachildalwayscheckit
forcorrectpositioning.Adjusttheheightofseatbeltto
ensuretheshoulderbeltiskeptawayfromthechild'sface
andneck.Positionthelapbeltacrossthehipsaslow
aspossible,andtightenadequately.Correctpositioning
meansthattheseatbeltscanpasstheappliedforcetothe
strongestpartofchild'sbodyinaccidents.
Iftheshoulderbeltistooclosetochild'sfaceorneck,it
maybenecessarytouseachildboostercushion(always
ensurethatitmeetsanyrelevantlawsorstandards.
SeatBeltPre-tensioners
Theseatbeltpre-tensionerswillonly
beactivatedonceandthenMUST
BEREPLACED.Failuretoreplacethe
pre-tensionerswillreducetheefciencyof
thevehicle'srestraintsystem.
Ifthepre-tensionershavebeenactivated,the
seatbeltswillstillfunctionasrestraints,and
mustbewornintheeventthatthevehicle
remainsinadrivablecondition.Theseat
beltpre-tensionersshouldbereplacedatthe
earliestopportunitybyanMGAuthorised
Repairer.
Thevehicleisttedwithseatbeltpre-tensioners,theseare
designedtoretracttheseatbeltsandworkinconjunction
withtheairbagsintheeventofaseverecollision.Theyare
designedtoretracttheseatbeltand'secure'theoccupant
intheseat.
Theairbagwarninglightontheinstrumentpackwill
alertthedrivertoanymalfunctionoftheseatbelt
