DONOTdriveifanytyreisdamaged,is
excessivelyworn,orisinatedtoanincorrect
pressures.
Alwaysdrivewithconsiderationfortheconditionofthe
tyres,andregularlyinspectthetreadandsidewallsforany
signofdistortion(bulges),cutsorwear.
Note:Ifpossible,protecttyresfromcontaminationby
oil,greaseandfuel.
T yrePressures
Beforealongdistancejourney,thetyre
pressuremustbechecked.
Checkthepressures(includingthesparewheel)atleast
everymonth,whenthetyresarecold.
Ifitisnecessarytocheckthetyreswhentheyarewarm,
youshouldexpectthepressurestohaveincreasedby
30~40kPa/0.3~0.4bar/4.3~5.8psi.Inthiscircumstance,
NEVERletairoutofthetyresinordertomatchthe
recommendedpressures(cold).
Valves
Keepthevalvecapsscreweddownrmly-theypreventdirt
fromenteringthevalve.Checkthevalveforleaks(listen
foratell-talehissing)whenyoucheckthetyrepressure.
PuncturedT yres
Y ourvehicleisttedwithtyreswhichmaynotleakif
penetratedbyasharpobject,providedtheobjectremains
inthetyre.Ifyouareawareofthisoccurring,reducespeed
immediatelyanddrivewithcautionuntilthesparewheel
canbetted,orrepairsundertaken.
Note:Ifthesidewallofthetyreisdamagedor
distorted,replacethetyreimmediately,donot
attemptarepair.
T yreWearIndicators
T yresttedasoriginalequipmenthavewearindicators
mouldedintothetreadpatternatseveralpointsaroundthe
circumference.Whenthetreadhasworndownto1.6mm,
