STARTING&DRIVING
Inthefollowingsituations,thedetection
performanceoffrontviewcamerawillbe
affected:
•Drivinginpoorweatherconditionswherevisibilityis
reducedduetothickfog,heavyrainorsnowetc.
•Thefrontviewcameraisaffectedbylight,forexample
lowlightlevelsatnight,poorauxiliarylighting,excessive
backlightingintheview,lightfromoncomingvehicles,
abruptchangeofbrightnesssuchasaquickbright/dark
jump(tunnelentrance/exit),drivingonsurfaceswith
strongreectiveproperties(roadsurfacecoveredwith
waterorsnow),ordrivinginplaceswithinsufcient
light,suchastunnels,surroundedbytallbuildings,
undergroundparkinglots,etc.
•Thefrontviewcameraispartiallyorfullyblockedby
obstacles,e.g.dust,foreignobjectsonthewindscreen.
•Thewindscreeninviewisdamaged.
•Notcalibratedafterremoving/rettingthefrontview
camera.
•Notcalibratedafterremoving/rettingthewindscreen.
•Thefrontviewcameraisnotsecuredinplace.
•Theoutersurfaceofthewindscreenisnotclean
(includingwipersweep).
•Thewindscreenisnotcleanedregularly.
•Thedemist/defrostactiononthewindscreenis
inefcientinwetconditions.
DescriptionofFrontDetectionRadar
Calibrationoffrontdetectionradar
Frontdetectionradarre-calibrationisrequiredafteranyof
thefollowing:
•Frontdetectionradarmis-alignmentfailure,forexample
thepositionofthefrontdetectionradarhaschanged.
•Remove/retthefrontdetectionradarorradarbracket.
•Remove/retthefrontanti-collisionbeam.
•Thefour-wheelalignmentparametersorthedrivingaxis
havechanged.
Note:Ifthefrontdetectionradarissubjecttostrong
vibrationorslightimpact,themountingpositionof
thefrontdetectionradarneedstobecheckedand
re-calibratedasnecessary.
