resultinginthefailuretostartthevehicle
andthereductionofbatterylife.
Alwaysstorebatteriesupright,tiltingmay
allowthecorrosivesubstancescontained
withinthebatterytoleakout.
Neverattempttodismantleabattery,they
aresealedunits.
Thebatterywillbecomevisiblewhenyouopenthetailgate
andliftthecarpet.Thebatteryisamaintenance-freetype,
thereforethereisnoneedtorelluid.
Note:Itisrecommendedtostartthevehicleforhalfan
houreveryweektohelpextendtheservicelifeofthe
battery.Ifthevehicleisstoredformorethan1month,
removethenegativeterminalfromthebattery.Make
surethattheSTART/STOPSwitchhasbeenturned
offbeforeconnectingordisconnectingthenegative
terminal.
BatteryReplacement
Thebatterycontainssulphuricacid,whichis
corrosive.
