LaneDepartureWarningSystem(LDW)
Thelanedeparturewarningsystemisan
auxiliarysystemthatprovidesassistance
tothedriver.ItdoesNOTremovethe
responsibilityofsafedrivingfromthedriver.
Whenchoosingtousethelanedeparture
warningsystem,thedriverMUSTalways
payattentiontothesurroundings,holdthe
steeringwheelandbepreparedtomake
manoeuvresatanytime.Failuretomaintain
overallcontrolofthevehiclemayresultin
anaccidentorpersonalinjury.
Thelanedeparturewarningsystemdoesnot
alwaysrecognisethelaneline.Sometimes
poorroadsurfaces,certainroadstructuresor
objectsmaybemistakenforlanelines.When
suchsituationsoccur,thelanedeparture
warningsystemmustbeimmediatelyturned
off.
Thelanedeparturewarningsystemusesthefrontview
cameratodetectthelanelinesaheadofthevehicle.
Thesystemwilloperatewhenthefollowingdetection
conditionsaremet:
•ThefunctionisswitchedON.
•Vehiclespeedisabove37mph.
•Lanelinemarkingsareclear.
Aslongasthesystemrecognisesatleastonelanelinethe
indicatorlampintheinstrumentpackwillilluminategreen.
Whenawheelisabouttocrossthelaneline,orhasalready
crossedtheline,thefollowingwarningswillbeprovidedto
promptthedrivertotakeactionandmaintainthevehicle
positionbetweenthelanelines:
•Anaudiblewarningsoundisemitted.
•Avisiblewarningdepictingacarpassingalaneline
isdisplayedintheinformationmessagecentreinthe
instrumentpack.
•Thesteeringwheelproducesanvibrationwarning.
Thefunctionwillautomaticallyexitwhenthevehiclespeed
dropsbelow33mph.
