onthesidesoftheroad.Currently,thefrontview
cameracanonlyrecognisethespeedlimitsignsforthe
laneinwhichthevehicleisbeingdriven.
6Nonstandardspeedlimitsignsorsignsthatcontain
additionalinformation.
7Thespeedlimitsignssetupataforkintheroad,ona
bendoron-ramp/off-ramp.
8Duringmanoeuvressuchaslane-changing.

signsduringpoorlightingconditions,badweather,
non-standardizedorshelteredspeedlimitsigns
orthecamera’sownrestrictionswhichinclude
therecognitionofsimilarsigns(e.g.,recognisea
weightlimitsignasaspeedlimitsign,orrecognisea
minimumspeedsignasthemaximumspeedsign).
•Somedrasticorrapidsteeringoperationsmadeby
thedrivermaybejudgedaschanginglaneorturning
aroundatanintersectionbythesystem.Thiswill
resultintheidentiedspeedlimitsignsbeingcleared.
