ReleasingtheEPB
Ifthevehicleisstablyparkedonaatroadorslight
incline/decline,thevehiclepowersystemisREAD Y ,press
thebrakepedaltoallowtheshiftcontrolsystemtoswitch
fromPtoN,DorR,theEPBwillautomaticallyreleased.
Ifonasteepslope,switchingfromthePpositionwillnot
automaticallyreleasetheEPB.Inthiscase,manuallyrelease
theEPBasfollowsorapplythestartassistfunctionofthe
EPBtoreleasetheEPB.
•PlacetheSTART/STOPSwitchintheON/READY
position,pressthebrakepedal,andpresstheEPB
switch;
•TheindicatorintheEPBswitchandtheindicatorlamp
intheinstrumentpackareextinguished,theEPBis
released.
StartAssist
TheEPBcanpredictthedriver'sintentionand
automaticallyreleasetheEPB.
Ifthedriver'sseatbeltisfastened,thepowersystemis
READY,DorRgearisselectedandtheacceleratorpedal
ispressedinordertopullaway,theEPBwillautomatically
release.
EmergencyBrakingFunction
InappropriateuseoftheEPBcanleadto
accidentsandinjuries.DonotapplytheEPB
forvehiclebraking,unlessinemergency.
