•Alwaysensuretheseatbeltwillnotbecometrapped
inthedooraperturewhenclosingthedoor,damage
willoccur.
•Pullingtheseatbeltouttooquicklymaycauseitto
'lock'.Inthiscase,allowtheseatbelttoretract
slightlyandthenpullitacrossyourbodyslowly.
•Ifitisdifculttopulltheseatbeltout,itmaybedue
totwistedwebbing.Ifthisisthecase,fullyextract
theseatbelt,removethetwist,allowtheseatbelt
toretractslowly.
•Whenusingtherearseatbeltspleaseensurethey
arefullyretractedintothecorrectpositiontoavoid
jammingintherearseatcatches.Eveniftheseat
beltisnotcompletelysmoothed,itisstillrequired
tobewornduringdriving,butthetwistedpartofthe
seatbeltshallnotcontactthepassenger.Whenthis
happens,pleasegotoanMGAuthorisedRepairer
forrepair .
CorrectRoutingoftheSeatBelts
Ensuretheseatbeltiscorrectlypositionedon
thebody,NEVERcrosstheneckorabdomen,
NEVERpasstheseatbeltbehindthebackor
underthearms.
Whenwearingseatbelts,thelapbeltsectionshouldbe
positionedaslowaspossibleacrossyourhips.NEVER
crosstheabdomen.Intheeventofacollision,thelapbelt
canapplyaforceonthehipsandreducethepossibilityof
