advance,avoidstheneedforunnecessaryacceleration
andharshbraking.Asmoothdrivingstylenotonly
reducesfuelconsumption,butcanreducetheemission
ofnoxiousgases.
•Donotridethebrakepedal,thiscancausepremature
wear,overheatingandincreasedfuelconsumption.
•Maintainanappropriatespeedonthehighway.Higher
speedsusemorefuel.Appropriatespeedcansavefuel.
•Maintainthecorrectwheelalignment.Avoidcollision
withthekerbandreducespeedonunevenroad
surfaces.Outofspecicationwheelalignmentwillnot
onlyleadtoexcessivetyrewear,butalsoincreasesthe
engineloadandfuelconsumption.
•Avoiddrivingonmudorbeaches.Thiswillprevent
corrosionofthevehicleunderside.
•MaintainthevehicleinaccordancewithMG
recommendations.Dirtyairlters,oiletc.,willreduce
theengine'sperformanceandraisefuelconsumption.
Note:Toextendthelifeofallcomponentsand
reduceoperatingcosts,regularMGApproved
maintenanceisneeded.
•Donotstoptheenginedirectlyafterhighspeeddriving,
longascentsortowingatrailer.Allowtheenginetoidle
for20to100secondsdependingupondrivingloadsand
conditions.Avoidhardaccelerationonacoldengine.
