position,HDCsystemdefaultstooff.Pressthebuttonto
switchtheHDCsystemON/OFF .
Normally,HDCsystemhasfourstatesasfollows:
1Standby:PresstheHDCswitchtosetthesysteminto
standbymode,thegreenHDCwarninglampinthe
instrumentpackwillilluminate.
2Operating:whilstinStandbymode,whenthevehicle
isdrivendownanacutegradient,iftheaccelrator
andbrakepedalsarenotpressedandthevehicleisat
lowspeed,theHDCsystemwillautomaticallyenter
theoperatingstate.Inthiscase,theHDCwarning
lampintheinstrumentpackashesgreen,thismay
beaccompaniedbytheworkingnoiseofthebrake
system.TheHDCsystemwillattempttomaintainthe
vehicledrivedowntheacutegradientgently.
3T emporaryDeactivation:presstheacceleratoror
brakepedalbeyondapresetlimitwhilstinoperating
modeandtheHDCsystemwilltemporarilysuspend
operation.
4Off:presstheHDCswitch(OFF)toswitchthesystem
OFF ,thegreenHDCwarninglampintheinstrument
packwillextinguish.
Note:Whenthevehicleturnsatafastspeedwhilston
anincline,theHDCsystemmayswitchfromStandby
toOperatingmode.
Note:DuringHDCsystemoperationthebraking
systemwillautomaticallypressuriseandmaintain
