T oenablethesmartmainbeamsystem,thefollowing
conditionsmustmet:
1Themasterlightingswitchmustbeinthe'Auto'
positionandthedippedbeamlampsswitchedonvia
automaticcontrol.
2Thevehicleisrunningandthespeedisabove25mph.
3Thefront/rearfoglampsareNOTswitchedon.
Whenthesmartmainbeamsystemisenabled,theauto
mainbeamindicatorontheinstrumentpackilluminates.
Themainbeamlampswillremainonunderautomatic
controluntilanyofthefollowingconditionsoccur:
•Thesystemdetectstheheadlampsofapproaching
vehicles.
•Thesystemdetectsthetaillampsofvehiclesahead.
•Thesurroundingsbecomebrightenoughnottorequire
mainbeam.
•Thevehiclespeeddropsbelowthe25mphthreshold.
Thesystemwilltemporarilysuspendthesmartmainbeam
functiononcethefollowingconditionsaremet:
Withthesmartmainbeamsystemenabled,instantaneously
pullthelightinglevertowardsthesteeringwheel,the
smartmainbeamfunctionwillbetemporarilysuspended,
itwillautomaticallybere-instatedwhentheswitchlever
isreleased.
Note:Continuouslyoperatingthemainbeamswitch
within2secondswillretainthemainbeamlamps
underautomaticcontrol,andthesystemwillnotexit
thesmartmainbeamfunction.
IMPORT ANT
Thesmartmainbeamfunctionusesdatafromthefront
viewcamera,alwayskeepthewindscreencleanand
freefromresidueinthisareatomaintainoptimum
performanceofthissystem.Anydamageinthisarea,
suchasstonechipsmustberepairedattheearliest
convenience.
