Selectthismodewhenmanualshiftisrequired.The
instrumentinterfacewillindicatecurrentgearofthe
vehiclewithM1-M9.
WiththevehicleinDgear,pushtheknobbackward
totheend,andthevehicleentersmanualmode.The
manualmodeisusedinconjunctionwiththeshiftpaddle
onthesteeringwheel.
T oggletheshiftpaddleto"+"toupshifttoanadjacent
highergear;toggletheshiftpaddleto"-"todownshift
toanadjacentlowergear .
Undermanualmode,ifthedrivermakesan
unreasonablegearselection,suchasrequestsanupshift
duringlowenginespeeds,orrequestsadownshift
duringhighenginespeeds,thetransmissionwillnot
respondandwillremaininthecurrentgear.Whenthe
vehicledrivesinacertaingear,andtheenginespeed
islowerthanacertainvalue,thetransmissionwill
automaticallydownshifttoanadjacentlowergearto
avoidengineameout;whenthevehicleaccelerates,
andtheenginespeedrisesupcontinuouslytothe
