Whentheshiftleverisinthisposition,thetransmission
willbemechanicallylocked.Usethisgearwhenthe
vehicleisstationaryandtheEPBisapplied.
PressthePbutton,andthevehiclewillshiftintoPark
gear.
Note:WhentheStartswitchisturnedoff,the
vehiclewillautomaticallyshiftintoPgear.
Note:Withthebrakepedalreleased,thedriver
seatbeltunfastenedandthedriverdooropen,the
vehicleengagesPgearautomatically.
•R:Reverse
Selectthisgearonlywhenthevehicleisstationaryand
thedriverhastheintentiontodrivebackwards.
Depressthebrakepedalandpushtheshiftknob
forwardtotheend,andthevehiclegoesintoreverse
gear.
•N:Neutral
Selectthisgearwhenthevehicleisstationaryandthe
engineisrunningatidlespeedforalongtime(for
example,waitingfortrafclights).
WiththevehicleinPgear,depressthebrakepedal,push
theknobforwardorbackwardtotherstnon-steady
stateposition,andthevehiclewillshiftintoNeutral
gear.
WiththevehicleinDgear,pushtheshiftknobforward
totherstnon-steadystateposition,andthevehicle
willshiftintoNeutralgear.
WiththevehicleinRgear,pushtheknobbackwardto
therstnon-steadystateposition,andthevehiclewill
shiftintoNeutralgear .
•D:NormalMode
Thisisusedfornormaldrivingandwillallowautomatic
selectionofDrivegeardependingonvehiclespeedand
acceleratorpedalposition.
WiththevehicleinPgear,depressthebrakepedaland
pushtheknobbackwardtotheend,andthevehicle
entersnormalmode.
WiththevehicleinR/Ngear,pushtheshiftknob
backwardtotheend,andthevehicleentersnormal
mode.
•S:SportMode
SelectSportmodewhenbetteracceleration
performanceisrequired.InSportmode,the
transmissionupshiftslater ,soastomakefulluseofthe
powerreservesoftheengine.
