C577: DRY MODE
STEAM TEMP OVERLIM
UNPLUG / RE-PLUG UNIT
Steam temperature
exceeds 284°F (140°C)
during DRY OPEN mode.
Main P.C. Board Malfunc-
tioning.
Check for 5.0 VDC
between TP2 & TP4.
Remove plug connector
at J12 on P.C. Board and
check voltage on pins 1 &
2.
Voltage should be apprx.
4.5 VDC at all times with
unit plugged in. Also, run
Service Diagnostics
If voltage is not present or Ser-
vice Diagnostics reveals a
problem replace P.C. Board
(Refer to para 4.13).
Code
C633.
(Error Type: FATAL )
C633: HEATUP MODE
PRESSURE LOW
ITEMS NOT STERILE
UNPLUG / RE-PLUG UNIT
After Air Valve closes if
chamber pressure doesn’t
reach 1 Psig in 1 minute or
gauge pressure inside
chamber does not reach at
least 4.93 PSIg (34 kPag)
within 25 minutes since the
beginning of HEAT UP
mode.
.
Door gasket leaking. Check door gasket for
leakage.
Replace door gasket (Refer to
para 4.8).
Pressure Relief Valve
leaking.
Check for pressure leak-
ing from pressure relief
valve.
Run Pressure Relief Valve
Test (Refer to para 4.16).
If pressure relief valve contin-
ues to leak replace it (Refer to
para 4.17).
Vent Valve leaking. Check for leakage from
Vent Valve.
Replace Vent Valve (Refer to
para 4.18).
Air Valve leaking. Check for leakage from
Air Valve.
Replace Air Valve (Refer to
para 4.15).
Leakage around fittings,
etc.
Check for leakage
around fittings.
Tighten or replace leaking fit-
ting(s).
Steam Heater malfunc-
tioning.
Check Steam Heater
resistance and for
grounding.
115 VAC = 10 Ohms*
230 VAC = 38 Ohms*
(+/- 10% cold reading)
If Steam heater shows open or
short replace heater (Refer to
para 4.20).
Pressure Transducer or
Main P.C. Board Mal-
functioning.
Check for 5.0 VDC
between TP2 & TP4 &
pins of Pressure Trans-
ducer. (Refer to Sche-
matic in Section 5).
Voltage should be apprx.
4.5 VDC at all times with
unit plugged in. Also, run
Service Diagnostics.
If voltage is not present or Ser-
vice Diagnostics reveals a
problem replace P.C. Board
(Refer to para 4.13).
Code
C645.
(Error Type: RESTART )
C645: VENT MODE
PRESSURE HIGH
ITEMS NOT STERILE
PUSH STOP TO RESTART
Absolute pressure inside
chamber is greater than
0.7 PSIg (5 kPa) for longer
than 5 minutes (i.e., Vent
mode not complete).
Vent Valve malfunction-
ing.
•Run Service Diagnostics
and check Vent Valve
Operation.
•If Vent Valve does not
operate check for line
voltage at terminals of
valve.
•If line voltage is present
but valve does not oper-
ate, disconnect power
from unit.
Disconnect leads from
Vent Valve coil and check
continuity.
115 VAC = 0.4 MOhms
230 VAC = 3.2 MOhms
(cold readings +/- 10 %)
If no continuity replace
valve.
Replace Vent Valve Assembly
(Refer to para 4.18).
