Chapter 3 Setup
Setting the Optional heater
For details about the optional drying heater, refer to the
separate document, “OPT-J0388 Heater 1800 Operation
Manual.”

(MENU)
in LOCAL.

Press to select SETUP 1 to 4,
and press the key.
• SETUP MENU will be displayed.

Press to select “OPTION
HEATER”, and press the key.
• “OPTION HEATER” is indicated only when the
optional heater unit is connected.

Press to select “FAN HEATER”,
and press the key.

Press to select the power of
heater, and press the key.
• Set value: OFF/LOW/MID/HIGH
• Heating of the heater starts by selecting any set
other than “OFF”.

Press to select “STANDBY
TIME”, and press the key.

Press to set the standby time,
and press the key.
• Set value: none, 0 to 90 inutes
• Set the time from the end of printing to the start of
decreasing of the heater unit to “LOW” status.
• When receiving a print data while the temperature
was down, the printing will start automatically after
the temperature goes up to the pre-set value.
• If setting the value as “none”, the heater will not
go down to “LOW”.

Press to serect “OFFTIME” , and
press the key.

Press , set the time until the
heater to be OFF after printing, and press
the key.
• Set value: none, 0 to 90 inutes
• If the “STANDBY TIME” has been set in step 7,
the heater will be turned OFF after erapsing
"STANDBY TIME and the time set here."

Press the key several times to
end the setting.
Setting of Logical Seek
The head’s operation varies depending on the LOGICAL
SEEK settings, as shown in the figure below.

Press to select “LOGICAL
SEEK”, and press the key.

Press to select a set value, and
press the key.
• Set value : HOST / ON / OFF
