Setting the Display of Media Residual
Whether the screen displays the remaining amount of a
media is set.

(MENU)
(twice)
in LOCAL.
• MACHINE SETUP MENU will be displayed.

Press to select “MEDIA
REMAIN”, and press the key.

Press to select ON/OFF.

Press the key several times to
end the setting.
Setting the PG Drop Adjust
Adjust the outward and return ink drop positions during
bidirectional printing.
PG Drop Adjust adjusts the ink drop positions at two
points where the head height is not the same, so that high
quality printing can be realized by automatically adjusting
the ink drop positions even if the head height changes.

Press to select “PG DROP
ADJUST”, and press the key.

Loosen the carriage height adjustment
screw and press the key.
• Loosen the screen by referring to P.2-4 “Adjusting
the Head Height”.

With the head height set as 3 mm, tighten
the height adjustment screw.

Press the key twice.
• Ink drop position adjustment patterns 1 to 5 will be
printed.

Correct the dot positions in patterns 1 to 5
by referring to P.3-6 “If the Positions of
Dots Shift...”.

By referring to steps 4 to 7, change the
head height to 4 mm and then correct the
dot positions in patterns 1 to 5.

Press the key several times to
end the setting.
Setting the Media Detection
Set the following two items in media detection settings.

DETECT”, and press the key.

Press the key.
• “DETECTION TYPE” will be selected.

press the key.

Press the key several times to
end the setting.
When the media remaining
amount display is turned
to "ON"
the remaining amount of a media
is displayed in Remote.
(However, when a leaf media is
used, the length of the media to
be printed is displayed.)
When the media remaining
amount display is turned
to "OFF"
the remaining amount of a media
is not displayed in the Remote.
• The amount of a media that has been fed by the
printing and jog keys is reflected in the remaining
amount of a media.
• The length of a media (initial value of the
remaining amount) is entered when a roll media is
detected.( P.2-9)
• The setting configured here does not become
effective unless media detection is performed after
the setting has been complete.
• When set "ON" the media remaining display, you
can print the list of current media remaining
amount and the date. ( P.2-9)
Setting of Media
Detection
When seting the media, set whether to
detect the media width automatically
(AUTO) or decide the print (or cut)
range manually (MANUAL).
Setting of Media
Thickness
Set whether to enter the thickness of
the media during media detection.
• When using the media that cannot be detected by
the sensor, set the media detection setting to
"MANUAL".
• To improve image quality for printing, we
recommend selecting “ON” in step 7.
