Maintenance
Cleaning of wiper
The wiper sweeps ink stuck on the nozzle of the head.
The wiper becomes tainted with ink or dusts during the operation of this machine.
In order to keep the head in good condition, clean the wiper frequently.

Press the key in the local mode.

Select the [MAINTENANCE] by pressing the or
key, and press the key.

Select the [STATION] by pressing the or
key, and press the key.

Select the [MENT:WIPER EXCHG] or [MENT:WIPER
CLEANING] by pressing the or key, and
press the key.
• Select [MENT: WIPER EXCHG] for the Firmware Ver.1.0, and
select [MENT: WIPER CLEANING] for the Firmware Ver.1.1 and
later.
• The carriage moves to the center.
• The wiper moves to the front.

Remove the front cover.
(1) Push the both ends of the front cover.
(2) Pull the cover to the front while opening upward.
• When cleaning, be sure to put on the supplied goggles and gloves since you may get ink in your eyes.
• Even if you cleaned the wiper, when Nozzle out or Ink dropping cannot be solved, try to replace the
wiper.
