8.5.7 Date and Time
If the TX3 Nano is connected to the Internet, the it uses NTP (network time
protocol) to set the date and time. NTP is a protocol for synchronizing clocks
between systems.
If the TX3 Nano is not connected to the Internet, then you must set the time
manually.
Note: NTP does not set the time zone. You must set the time zone
manually whether or not you are connected to the Internet (section
8.5.6).
Set the date and time manually
Note: Set the time manually only if the TX3 Nano is not connected to the
Internet.
1. On the Panel Settings screen, select Set time zone and time.
2. Select Set date and time.
The month, day, year, hour, minutes and seconds are represented with the
words Month, Day, Year, Hour, Min, and Sec followed by a plus sign
(+) and a minus sign (-). Select the plus sign (+) and press Call to scroll
forward, and select the minus sign (-) and press Call to scroll backward.
3. To set the month, select Month + and press Call to scroll forward through
the months, or select Month - and press Call to scroll backward.
4. Repeat the step above to set the day, year, hour, minutes and seconds.
5. Select Save.
6. Select Home to go back to the Panel Settings screen.
7. On the Panel Settings screen, select Update Real Time Clock.
8. Select YES.
8.5.8 Restart
Restart the TX3 Nano
1. On the Panel Settings screen, select System reboot.
2. Select Yes.
The TX3 Nano restarts.
