DSS Extensions
Up to eight of the sixteen key Feature Phones can be equipped with a DSS.
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
3. Select “System Programming”.
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select “Extensions”.
5. Press the Scroll Down key () until “DSS Extensions” is shown.
6. Select “DSS Extensions”.
7. Select those extensions which are to be equipped with a DSS.
An AC adapter is connected to the sixteen key Feature Phone to supply the additional power needed for the 32
extra keys.
To Record a Call
The option to allow you to record a call can be set in system programming.
When programmed, the option “Record Call” is shown on the display when you are on a call.
The same rules apply to these recordings as do to normal messages left in voice mailboxes. Read messages are
deleted in 8 days and unretrieved messages are deleted in 15 days.
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
3. Select “System Programming”.
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select “Extensions”.
5. Select “Call Recording”.
6. Select the extensions that are to be allowed to record calls.
Barge-In
This option allows programmed extensions to break in to calls on other extensions.
To Program extensions allowed to barge-in
In default no extensions are programmed to activate “Barge-In”.
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
3. Select “System Programming”.
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select “Extensions”.
5. Press the Scroll Down key () until “Barge-In” is displayed.
6. Select “Barge-In Extensions”.
7. Select the extensions that are to be allowed to barge-in. The extensions you select will have a “” displayed
beside them.
The default is that no extensions are allowed to barge-in.
To Program extensions protected from “Barge-In”
In default no extensions are programmed to activate “Barge-In”.
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
3. Select “System Programming”.
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select “Extensions”.
5. Press the Scroll Down key () until “Barge-In” is displayed.
6. Select “Barge-In Protection”.
7. Select the extensions that are to be protected from barge-in. The extensions you select will have a “
displayed beside them.
The default is that no extensions are protected.
To Program “Barge-In” with or without tone
In default no extensions are programmed to activate “Barge-In”.
