4. Dust
This measuring system consists of high-precision components such as the guide surface
of each unit and scale unit, etc., that may be affected by dust. So, use this system in a
place where it is as free from dust as possible.
5. Power supply
For supplying power to this system prepare a power receptacle rated to 100-240 V AC
(+10% to 5%), 50/60 Hz (grounded, and applicable to 2-prong type plug). The supplied
power should have a sufficient margin over the system consumption rate.
Table 2-1 shows the power consumption of this system.

*The various errors indicated to shutdown and troubleshooting of a system may occur
when power supply voltage is less than 90V due to voltage dips, short interruptions or
voltage variations of power supply.
After confirming the phenomenon, take appropriate measures according to
Troubleshooting.
TIP
The supplied power will differ depending on the computer, display, and printer
models used. For exact specifications refer to each operation manual of the
computer, display, and printer to be used.
Reference
In case the power fluctuation does not meet the specified power voltage, a voltage
stabilizer is required. Also, if there is a possibility of electrical outage, an
uninterruptible power supply system may be required. For detailed information,
contact your dealer or the nearest Mitutoyo service center.
CAUTION
Use the receptacle provided in the installation site exclusively for this system, and
do not share it with other power equipment. For information about the power supply
of the computer and other control units, refer to the operation manual of each piece
of equipment.
