Safety Precautions
Purpose of Use
This product must only be used for measuring workpieces that match the specified characteristics, mass,
and external dimensions. ”6.1 System Specification”(page 6-1)
Dangerous actions
Incorrectly using this product may lead to a dangerous situation.
• Do not modify or disassemble the machine, as this may cause fire or electric shock
• Do not install the machine on an unstable table, as this may cause injury due to
dropping or falling.
• Do not place a case with water and a vase, etc., around the machine. When the water
get inside the machine, it may cause fire or electric shock. In case the water, etc., get
inside the machine, first unplug the power cord from the outlet then contact your dealer
or the nearest Mitutoyo sales office.
• Do not use the machine in locations where volatile gases could be generated, as this
may cause fire.
• Use under the specified power supply voltage. Do not use under the unspecified power
supply voltage, as this may cause fire or electric shock.
• Do not rework, bend by force, twist and yank the power code, as this may cause fire or
electric shock.
• Wear protective shoes to avoid injury from unexpected falling of some objects.
