3.9 Calibration
Perform calibration to achieve accurate measurement. The following calibrations are
available for CV-2100.
1. Z-axis gain adjustment
This is an adjustment to correct detection error in the Z-axis caused by an installation
error or dimensional error of the arm or stylus.
2. Symmetry correction
This correction corrects an error due to a slight displacement from the regular position
at the stylus tip caused by the installation error or dimensional error of the arm or
stylus.
3. Stylus radius measurement
This measurement corrects an offset error caused by the curvature at the stylus tip
when a curved line is measured.
• For the symmetry correction, the reference hemisphere (P/N. 211-016), one of
optional accessories, is required.
• For the stylus radius measurement, the pin gage unit (P/N. 998862/ P/N.998861),
one of optional accessories, is required.
