4. Loosen the fixing screw on the weight assembly.
5. Move the weight assembly so that the measuring force gage reads 30 mN (3 gf).
NOTE
• Adjust the measuring force to 30 ±10 mN.
• For the combination of optional accessory P/N.935120 of eccentric arm (AB-92) and
P/N.354901 of knife edge stylus (SPH-94), the measuring force may be 40 mN.
• As to the weight assembly, the auxiliary weight needs to be changed depending on
the arm and stylus to be used. For the combination, refer to "6.5.2 List of auxiliary
weights according to the combination of arm and stylus".
6. Tighten the fixing screw to secure the weight.
NOTE
The measuring force adjusted in the horizontal state changes when the X-axis is tilted.
Therefore, if the X-axis is tilted, readjust the measuring force.
