3.3 Mounting an Arm
This section describes how to mount an arm.
1. Insert an arm into the main arm by aligning the reference line.
2. Using the supplied hex wrench (nominal 1.5), securely tighten the arm on the main
arm so that the stylus is positioned vertically against a workpiece.
Important
• When mounting the arm, be careful not to apply excessive force to the main arm.
• The measuring force will change after the arm is replaced. Be sure to readjust the
measuring force. (Refer to "3.8 Adjusting the Measuring Force".)
