3. Use the quick up/down handle and X-axis drive knob to move the measuring main
unit close to the measurement start position.
• When moving the measuring main unit closer to the measurement start position,
keep the stylus in the hold state to prevent the stylus being damaged.
• Measurement can be performed with the measuring main unit in the same height by
applying a limit to the downward movement of the measuring main unit with use of
the positioning stopper. For repeated measurement of the same workpiece, it is
recommended to use a positioning stopper.
Make sure to tighten the positioning stopper firmly with the accompanying Allen
wrench (nominal 5).
(Recommended clamping torque: 2N・m or more)
4. Set the stylus in a free state and move the unit to the measurement start position
using the up/down fine feed knob or X-axis drive knob.
