The Leece-Neville alternator with integral rectifier and regulator and remote
voltage sensor is designed for reliable high output at all RPMs. This alternator
offers high output over a broad range of operating speeds. The 4800JB delivers
the same reliable, heavy duty performance all Leece-Neville alternators are
known for. The 4800JB features an integral regulator and rectifier for compact
installations. Always keep a close eye on the voltmeter in the dash area.
The alternator should replace the ampere-hours taken from the battery at
start. The amount of charge given to a battery is dependent on engine run time.
This allows maintaining a 75% level with enough energy to power the electrical
systems. Driving the motorhome for a short distance, or short periods of time,
may prevent the battery from reaching above 75% level.
