2.6 Product elements
The Maestro Encore is constructed as one assembled workstation with 3 main elements in its construction. The station
comes in three physical formations. There is an elevating grossing station, a stationary leg frame unit, and a countertop
version. The work surface and upper hood are the same on all platforms. The difference is in the base configuration to
provide laboratory customers with options.
A. Base
The base constitutes the framework, cabinetry, and elevation system if equipped. It also contains
rough-in utility connections for electrical, plumbing & seismic anchoring. Countertop versions will not
have a base and are placed on top of existing counters.
• Base Controls (a.)
o Elevation Switch – adjusts the unit up/down in height.
o Foot pedal switch (if equipped) – turns the sink faucet mixing valve on/off.
B. Work Surface
The work surface is what determines the sink location and associated plumbing fixtures. It also contains
the FAS system, grid plates, and cutting board surfaces.
