14.SettingtheVacuumDrumandPapergate:-
TheDynacreaseTiltiscontrolledbyamechanismwhichusesapotentiometertomeasureits
position.ThisinformationisthenavailabletotheOperatorontheMainDisplayScreen.This
Pot,whichislocatedatthebottomoftheTiltMechanismontheOperatorSideofthemachine,
willrequirecalibrating:-
RemovetheBallsfromtheSidelay.
OpentheInputRollergapfullybyreleasingtheLockingScrewandusingthe4mm
hexagonkeytomoveitdowntowardstheLoadingTable.(SeeSection8oftheService
Manual).
PlaceaTestSheetontheLoadingTablewithitsLayEdgeagainsttheFixedSideLay&
slideitthroughtheopenInputRollersuntiltheleadedgejustenterstheDynaCrease
Unit.
Itshouldbepossibletovisuallychecktheparallelalignmentoftheleadedgeofthe
sheetwiththeUpperTieBaroftheDynaCreaseUnit.
Ifadjustmentisrequired,turntheDynaCreaseTiltAdjustmentKnob(farright)untilthe
leadedgeofthesheetisparallelwiththeUpperTieBaroftheDynaCreaseUnit.
Loosenthelowerfarlefthandpotentiometercouplingscrew,rotatethepotuntilthe
displayforTiltreads0.00&thentightenthecouplingscrew.
TheVacuumDrum,whichispartoftheFeedSystem,isdrivenbyaStepperMotorwhichis
programmedtostartafterthesheettobefedhasbeensecuredtothedrumbytheVacuum.
Duetothespecialisednatureofthedrumslotprofilethepositionatwhichitstarts(&therefore
stops)isrelatedtothelateralpositionofthePapergate.
CheckthattheedgeofthePapergateispositionedtocleartherotationoftheVacuum
drum.
Ifadjustmentisrequired,loosenthelockingsetscrew(locatedwithintheholeatthe
rearbodysection),&rotatethePapergateuntilthecorrectpositionisachieved.
Tightenthelockingscrew.
14.3.OperatetheSystemSwitchtostartthemotors.OperatetheOnbuttontostartthe
VacuumDrum.Whilstthedrumisrunning,turnOffto"StopFeeding"andthe
drumwillstop.
14.4.Checkthepositionofthedrumslots-thelefthandedgeoftheslotinthedrum
shouldbeflushwiththefaceofthePapergate.IfAdjustmentisrequired,enterthe
EngineeringToolssection,Select""
Alterthesettingasrequired.
