XLSeriesTimingBeltsofvariouswidthsandshouldbetensionedinaccordancewiththefollowing
notes.
3.1.AdjustthetensionofthebylooseningthefourM5fixingssecuringthe
MainDriveMotortotheLaysideFramePlate.RaiseorlowertheMotoruntilthecorrect
Tensionisachieved&tightenallfixingswhencomplete.(SeeFIG.3.1).
AdjustthetensionoftheontheDynaCreaseUnitbylooseningthefour
M5fixingssecuringtheBladeDriveMotortotheStepperMountingPlate.Accesstothese
fixingsisviathelargeclearanceholearoundthemotor.RaiseorlowertheMotoruntilthe
correcttensionisachieved&tightenallfixingswhencomplete.(SeeFIG3.1A).
3.3.Ensurethefoldknivesaresetcorrectlyusingthejigbeforesettingthedrivebelttension.
LoosenthefourM5fixingssecuringtheDriveMotortotheFramePlate.
RaiseorlowertheMotoruntilthecorrectTensionisachieved(thisshouldnotbetootight,approx
onequartertwistonthefreelength)&tightenallfixingswhencomplete.(SeeFIG.3.1
3.4.Ensurethefoldknifeflagswitchissetclosetothediameterofthebeltbutnotrubbingon
theflagordrivebelt.
