What does 'Unknown Device' mean on Mortara Medical Equipment?
    • V
      vincentmitchellSep 7, 2025
If the system displays “Unknown Device” or “Unknown Manufacturer”, the TRPC or EPC is not recognized due to an incorrect installation or lack of installation of the device driver. Note that TRPC or EPC is not compatible with X-Scribe V3.10. You will need an MMM device and drivers.

Why is my Mortara Medical Equipment Z-fold printer not working?
    • H
      Heather AguilarAug 30, 2025
If the Z-fold writer paper is out, the light on the Z-fold writer is on, and it's not printing or printing ECGs/reports unevenly, it could be due to a paper jam, no paper in the tray, an open writer door, or a printer head that needs cleaning. Open the writer cover and remove any jammed paper. Insert a new packet of paper in the tray. Make sure the writer door is latched. Refer to printer head cleaning instructions in Appendix F.

What to do for ECG Front-End Error on Mortara X-Scribe?
    • L
      Lisa DavisAug 29, 2025
If the ECG Front-End Error occurs, and you can’t proceed, it could be that the MMM device is not correctly connected or that there are incorrect Power Savings settings. Try disconnecting the USB cable from the PC and then reconnecting it. The system should emit a confirmation beep. If rebooting fixes the problem, the system likely has incorrect Power Saving settings. To correct this: 1. Close the X-Scribe application. 2. Select “Start”, “Settings”, then “Control Panel”. 3. Double click on “Power Management” icon. 4. If displayed, set “Stand-by” setting to “Never”. 5. Click OK and close all open Windows. 6. Reboot system.
