Site Controller Verication
1. Connect an RS-232 cable from the serial port on the service
computer to “Service Access” connector on the front of
Controller A.
2. Apply power to the service computer.
After the service computer initializes, the first prompt on the screen
identifies the hard drive name. This is most commonly the C:\ drive, but
can vary depending on what type of computer is used and how it is
configured.

Note: The service computer must contain serial port communications
software (e.g. ProComm plus).
The following procedures are written for DOS-based service
computers. For Macintosh service computers, alternate procedures
are available from your iDEN System Manager .
3. Invoke the communications program by typing:
C:\IDEN> procomm
4. Using the communications software, configure the service computer
RS-232 port with the parameters listed in Table 6-2.
Site Controller Startup Sequence
Note: This procedure may be halted and restarted at any time by powering
down Controller B and pressing the CPU Reset pushbutton on
Controller A.
