Installing Expansion Modules

3. Referring to Figure 6-1 on page 6-2, locate the connector(s) provided

for expansion modules on the MBX board:

❏ PC/104 (ISA) modules plug into J21 and J22 in tandem (8-bit

modules use J22 only).

❏ PC/104-Plus (PCI) modules plug into P2.

❏ 8xx/COMM modules plug into P1.

❏ PCMCIA modules plug into XJ26. (See J11 DREQ# Signal

Source for DMA-type PCMCIA Cards on page 6-10 for related

jumper settings.)

Note PCMCIA modules can be installed with power applied to the

system. Other modules cannot.

4. Seat the expansion module firmly and evenly in the appropriate

connector(s) as shown in the following illustration. The plug on the
