This printer requires daily maintenance.
Follow the steps below to perform daily maintenance after you finish your printing for the day.
Flow of Daily Maintenance
Important!
If you perform printing all day without entering to sleep mode, make sure to perform daily maintenance once a day.
Failure to perform daily maintenance may affect print quality or result in damage to the printer.
To perform daily maintenance without entering to sleep mode, refer to
"Continuously using printer after daily maintenance" on
page 73
.
If you can see any ink stains or dust, clean the inside of the printer.
"Inside cleaning" on page 77
Prepare required items for Daily Maintenance
Suspend the maintenance temporarily,
perform Head Cleaning
Put printer into Sleep Mode
Clean around the print head
Clean the cleaning wiper and capping unit
Clean the flushing-box sponge
Daily Maintenance completed !
If operation is done within 5 minutes
