SMD R wi th a CTA Adapter
Was the extension,
on which the CTA
Adapter is to be
installed,
previously
connected to the
system?
In 15-02-20, set the baud rate
to be used for the CTA
connection (0=4800, 1=9600,
2=19200).
Connect an RS-232C straight-thru cable to the
adapter and the PC.
Disconnect the
telephone and
undefine (set to
0) the multiline
terminal’s port
in 10-03-01.
In 15-02-19, set the
extension with the CTA
Adapter to ‘1’.
Go to
‘A’.
The CTA Adapter
does NOT require an
AC/CD power adapter.
Start
Do NOT plug in the
multiline terminal with
the CTA Adapter.

In 35-01-01, set the SMDR output to
‘4’ for CTA/CTU.
In 35-01-02, define the extension number of
the multiline terminal with the CTA Adapter.
Set the dip switches on the CTA Adapter to
pins 1 and 2 On (up), 3~8 Off (down).
Connect the line cord to the multiline terminal.
Without the line cord connected to the multiline
terminal, install the CTA Adapter onto the multiline
terminal.
Wait one minute for the system to recognize the adapter.
Check 10-03-04 for the multiline terminal.
Does it show the CTA installed?

for additional details for installing the CTA Adapter.)
Disconnect the telephone.
Undefine the multiline
terminal’s port in 10-03-01.
Remove the CTA Adapter.
