Configure RADIUS Server Settings
For authentication, accounting, or both authentication and accounting using RADIUS, you
need to configure primary servers and optional secondary servers. These RADIUS server
settings can apply to all devices that are connected to the wireless access point.
To configure the RADIUS server settings:
1. Select Config
uration > Security > Advanced > Radius Server Settings. The Radius
Server Settings screen displays. (The following figure shows some examples.)

Field Descriptions
Data Encryption TKIP Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) is th
e standard encryption method
used with WPA. You can also use TKIP with WPA2.
Note: TKIP provides only legacy (slower) rates of operation. NETGEAR
recommends
WPA2 authentication with AES encryption if you want to use the
11n rates and speed.
AES Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is the st
andard encryption method used
with WPA2.
Note: Although some wireless clients might support AES with WPA, the
WNDAP360 wireless
access point does not support WPA with AES.
TKIP + AES TKIP + AES supports both WPA and WPA2. Broadcast packets use TKIP. For
unicast (point-to-point) transmissions, WPA clients use TKIP, and WPA2
clients use AES.
For the WPA & WPA2 mixed mode, TKIP
+ AES is the only supported data
encryption method.
