Using the sterilizer
5.9 Interrupting the programme
If necessary, a running program can be aborted at any time by pressing the STOP button.
In case of interruption of the cycle during the drying phase, the load is considered sterilized and it doesn’t
foresee a restart of the cycle. However, the load may be wet.
After pressing the STOP button, the device proceeds to release the pressure before allowing the door to be
opened for safety reasons. To unlock the door, press the key button.
Remove the load very carefully and check for the presence of water inside the chamber (it is recommended to
replace the bags if the load is wrapped).
Before refilling the chamber, carefully dry the inside of the sterilization chamber and wait 10 minutes to allow
the water to evaporate and completely drain.
The instruments and sterilization chamber are very hot. There is also the risk of bacteriological
contamination.
5.10 Topping up with demineralized water and draining contaminated water
The hydraulic circuit does not allow the reuse of the steam produced during the sterilization cycle, which is collected
in the recovery tank and must be periodically drained.
The normal operating cycle therefore involves gradual emptying of the demineralized water tank and filling of the
recovery tank.
With a cold autoclave, high load and minimum clean water level, it may be that the water runs out.
5.10.1 Topping up the demineralized water tank
The average water consumption for each sterilization cycle is 650 cc, which
means that a full tank allows about 8 cycles.
When the i20 information is activated (see the paragraph 6.2 “Information
List) this indicates an insufficient water level in the loading tank.
Top up with demineralized water until the activation of information i21 (see
paragraph 5.1). However, do not fill beyond the closing grid in the top input
opening.
When removing the cap, avoid coming into contact with hot parts
inside the demineralized water tank.
5.10.2 Draining the used water recovery tank
The activation of information i22 (see paragraph 6.2 “Information list)
signals an excessive presence of water in the used water tank.
Drain the tank by proceeding as follows:
1. Place a recovery container with a capacity of at least 6 liters;
2. Insert the drain hose into the hose connection on the front of the
device;
3. Move the clean/used water tank selector to “used”;
4. Wait for the tank to drain completely;
5. Remove the drain hose from the barb fitting.
6. Move the clean / used water tank selector to neutral position.
