7. TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
Error Code 389
(1) Remove any documents from the document tray.
(2) Open the scanner unit.
(3) Press the top cover open button and open the top cover.

uch any screw inside the machine to remove static electricity from
your body.

) Hold the blue handles of the image drum unit with both hands and lift it out of the
MFP, and then place it on a flat surface.
Co
ver the image drum unit with black paper or a black bag.
(5) Remove any jammed paper in the direction of the arrow.
If the top edge of the paper cannot be seen, push the jam release lever of the fuser
unit and then gently pull out the paper.
(6) Hold the blue handles of the image drum unit with both hands and place it into the
MFP.
(7) Close the top cover and scanner unit.
