HIGH FLOW INSUFFLATION UNIT UHI-4
Storing High Flow Insufflation Unit (UHI-4) and Smoke
Evacuation Foot Switch (MAJ-1939)
1.
Disconnect all power cords and coil them loosely; do not crush or bend them
when storing. Handle the equipment carefully; it can be damaged if dropped
on a hard surface.
2. Disconnect the cylinder hose, from the CO
2
cylinder. If the Medical Gas
Pipeline Adapter is used, also disconnect it from the hose.
3. Store the equipment at room temperature in the horizontal position in a
clean, dry and stable location.
Storing sterilized Insufflation Unit (UHI-4) and Smoke
Evacuation Foot Switch (MAJ-1939)
1.
Record the sterile expiration date on the sterile packaging. Do not damage
the packaging.
2. Store the sterilized tubes and connectors in a proper storage cabinet,
following your institutional guidelines.
Storing time for the sterile tubes and connectors varies
depending on the method to keep aseptic state, storing
method, environmental condition, and handling condition.
The maximum period sterilized tubes and connectors can be
stored until the next use should be determined at each
medical facility.
Disposal
When disposing of the High Flow Insufflation Unit, accessories, packaging, and
reprocessing supplies (such as gloves, cloths, and the liquids used for
reprocessing), handle these items in a manner which will prevent the spread of
contamination from the reprocessing area, and follow all applicable national and
local laws regarding disposal
