HIGH FLOW INSUFFLATION UNIT UHI-4
1. Stop the CO
2
supply to this instrument.
• If the medical gas pipeline of the hospital is used, disconnect the hose
from the connector of the CO
2
pipeline.
• If a CO
2
cylinder is used, close the valve of the cylinder by turning the
valve clockwise (see Figure 5.5).

2. Disconnect the tubes in the following sequence.
Always use the following steps to disconnect a tube. If the
following steps are not used while blood or body fluid is
present in the tube, penetration of the blood or body fluid in
the equipment may contaminate it.
(1) Disconnect the insufflation tube from the CO
2
feed port of the
high-flow insufflation unit (see Figure 5.6).
