steered alignment target may be shown as a red light. For configurations that use red lights for eye
steered alignment, the light will be brightest when the patient is correctly aligned.

Capture the image either manually or using auto-capture.

Auto-capture: Auto-capture is enabled when it is set to On on the touch screen. The system
captures an image when the patient is correctly aligned. You can press the screen to
manually capture the image.

Manual capture: Press the screen to capture the image when the pupil is in the center of
the cross hairs and the patient alignment target is green.

3.2.5.1 How to change the eye piece
You can change the eye piece to suit your imaging requirements. To change the eye piece follow this
procedure:
1.
Insert your index finger into the eye piece hole.
2.
Firmly hold the eye piece backing plate.
3.
Pull the eye piece away from the scan head.
To replace the eye piece push it onto the scan head and ensure all the tabs click into place.
Note
Do not touch the mirror when replacing the eye piece.
3.2.6 How to capture stereo images
Depending on the features available on your device, you may be able to capture stereo pairs.
1. Attach the 50mm sized eye piece, see How to change the eye piece above.
2. Position the patient, see How to prepare for image capture on page34.
3. Align the patient, see How to align the patient on page35

Select the image modality and stereo pair options on the touch screen.

Select the first stereo image. The circles will move to the left. Ask the patient to slide slowly to their
right. You will need to tell the patient to stop when the pupil tracker is in the center of the cross hairs.

Capture the image.

Select the second stereo image. The circles will move to the right. Ask the patient to slide slowly to
their left. You will need to tell the patient to stop when the pupil tracker is in the center of the cross
hairs.

Capture the image.

3.2.7 What to do after the image is captured
After you have captured the image, the image quality needs to be checked. You can then continue or complete
the session.
1.
Check the quality of the captured image and, if required, continue capturing images.
2.
From the preview screen you can select laterality.
3.
Select Keep if the quality of all captured images is acceptable.
4.
Replace the dust cap when you have finished imaging each patient.
