OCATE to File > Properties > Settings > ASCII Setup. Set the ASCII Setup prop-
erties as follows:
Check:
• Send line ends with line feeds
• Echo typed characters locally
• Wrap lines that exceed terminal width
Uncheck:
• Append line feeds to incoming line ends
• Force incoming data to 7 bit ASCII
Leave “Line delay” and “Character delay” at their default values.
K) Activate the C

• Text that the user enters appears in MONOSPACED BOLD.
• Responses that the 8685 transmits appear in monospaced normal.
• The symbol “«” means CR (for received commands) and CR+LF (for transmit-
ted responses from 8685).
