x Leave at least 50 mm/1.969 in. of space between ducts and other devices to avoid heat radiation.
x When installing devices facing the slave station, such as those on the panel, leave at least 100 mm/3.937 in. of space
between the devices and the slave station to avoid heat and noise radiation.
x The FP I/O transmitter unit can be installed in any direction.

Notes on installation
x The slave station should be used under the following conditions.
- At ambient temperatures of 0 qCto55qC (32 qF to 131 qF)
- At ambient humidity of 35 % to 8 5 % RH
x Do not use the slave station in places where it will be subject to:
- Sudden temperature changes causing condensation
- Inflammable or corrosive gas
- Excessive airborne dust or iron particles
- Benzine, paint thinner, alcohol, other organic solvents, or strong alkaline solutions of ammonia or caustic soda
- Excessive vibration or shock
- Direct sunlight
- Water splashes
- Influence from power transmission lines, high-voltage equipment, power cables, power equipment, radio
transmitters, or any other equipment that generates high switching surges
x Do not drop the unit or apply excessive force to it.
x Donotinstalltheunitabovedevicesthatgeneratelargeamountsofheatsuch asheaters,transformersor powerresistors.
