The unit starts up normally but freezes up after a short time.
Check that the signals mentioned
in [4]
are input or output to/from the
FPGA (IC301).
Check if the cables that connect
the DJACK and NJACK Assys
and NMAIN and NJACK Assys
are securely connected and if
there is breakage in the cables.
Check the waveforms of the
signals shown below that are
output from the NORTH CPU
(IC601) to JA2400 on the DJACK
Assy in order to confirm in which
point communication is
interrupted.
From the control unit to the drive
unit:
• BRDG_CLK
• BRDG_FS
• BRDG_CS#
• KEY_DATA
From the drive unit to the control
unit:
• DISP ASSY_DATA1
• DISP ASSY_DATA2
If no signal is output even if there is an input
signal,check the mounting status of the FPGA
(IC301).
If it is properly mounted, the port connector
may bedefective; replace it.
If no signal is input in the first place, connec-
tion is poor.
Resolder the connectors.
If a connection is loose, firmly connect the
cables.
If there is breakage, replace the cable.
Check the input/output signals to/from the
buffer IC on the NJACK Assy. If no signal is
output even if there is an input signal, check
the mounting status of the IC. If the IC is
properly mounted, it is defective; replace the
IC.
If no signal is output from the NORTH CPU
(IC601)
either, check the mounting status of the IC. If
the IC is properly mounted, the port connector
is defective;
replace it.
Check if the FFC cables that
connect the SMAIN and SRV 1/2
Assys are securely connected
and if there is breakage in the
FFC cables.
If a connection is loose, firmly connect the
cable.
If there is breakage, replace the FFC cable.
Poor connection or breakage of the FFC
cables may cause the SOUTH CPU to freeze
up.
