17 Assigning PlanID card to user
Before you begin
Prerequisites:
• Planmeca Romexis version 4.6 or later installed
• Dental unit is connected to the Planmeca Romexis server
• Dental unit’s PlanID reader has been enabled by a qualified Planmeca
service technician.
For information on the dental unit’s configuration requirements, contact your
Planmeca dealer.
Before you assign the PlanID card to a user, the user must be created in the
Admin module of Planmeca Romexis. This is typically done by a Planmeca
Romexis administrator.
The following information must be supplied when creating the user:
• In
Add User

• Username
• Member of Groups
We recommend that you create a group for PlanID users and add all
PlanID users to that group.

About this task
Before you sign in to the dental unit with the PlanID card for the first time,
you must assign the PlanID card to the user. This is done from the
Planmeca Romexis computer, see
