INJECTOR REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the intake / plenum. See “Intake
Replacement”.
2. Thoroughly clean the area on top of the throttle body
and around the injector.
3. Disconnect the fuel line

by disengaging the quick
disconnect clips. See Fuel Line Quick Connect
Removal page 5.2.
IMPORTANT
It is possible for pressurized fuel to be present when
disconnecting the fuel line. Be sure to have a shop
towel under the connector to collect any fuel that spills
when removing this line.
It is recommended to allow the vehicle to sit for a period
of one hour after shutting off the engine before
servicing the fuel pump. This allows the fuel pressure to
drop.
4. Remove the two fasteners
w
retaining the fuel rail to
the throttle body.
5. Gently pry / pull up to disengage the injector from the
port.
6. Carefully spread the injector to rail retaining clips just
enough to remove the injector.
7. Reverse this procedure to reinstall the injector.
Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Fuel Rail Mounting Fasteners
44 in-lbs (5 N·m)
Plenum to Throttle Body Fasteners
89 in-lbs (10 N·m)
