3. Remove the Tuflock fastener and two screws
securing the front cover to the vehicle.
4. Remove the battery hold down strap fastener using a
10 mm socket.
5. Disconnect the battery cables.
CAUTION
To reduce the chance of sparks when removing the
battery, always disconnect the negative (-) cable first.
When reinstalling the battery, always install the
negative (-) cable last.
6. Carefully lift the battery out of the battery support
bracket.
7. Charge the battery.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Install the battery into the battery support bracket.
2. Align the positive battery cable with the positive
terminal, then align the negative battery cable with
the negative terminal.
If your vehicle includes a winch, align the positive
winch cable with the positive terminal, then align the
negative winch cable with the negative terminal.
Once all cable connections are aligned, attach cables
to battery with Battery Bolt Kit (P/N 2201357) using a
10 mm socket. Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Battery Terminal Fasteners
5 ft-lbs (7 N·m)
3. Install the battery hold down strap fastener using a 10
mm socket. Torque to specification.
TORQUE

8 ft-lbs (11 N·m)
