FRONT BEARING CARRIER
INSTALLATION
1. Install the drive shaft axle through the backside of the
bearing carrier.
2. Install the upper and lower ball joint ends into the
bearing carrier.
3. Install new upper and lower taper nuts. Torque nuts to
specification.
TORQUE
Upper and Lower Taper Nuts
45 ft-lbs (61 N·m)
NOTICE
Refer to the Polaris Electronic Parts Catalog for
fastener replacements.
4. Apply grease to drive shaft axle splines.
5. Install the front wheel hub assembly, cone washers,
and hand tighten the castle nut. Install washers with
domed side facing out toward the castle nut.
6. Install the brake caliper and torque new mounting
bolts to specification.
IMPORTANT
New bolts have a pre-applied locking agent which is
destroyed upon removal. Always use new brake caliper
mounting bolts upon assembly.
TORQUE
Front Caliper Mounting Fasteners
45 ft-lbs (61 N·m)
7. Install the steering tie rod end onto the front bearing
carrier. Install new washers

to specification.
TORQUE
Tie Rod End Nuts
40 ft-lbs (54 N·m)
FINAL DRIVE
