7. Insert the drive clutch onto the shaft and install the
drive clutch retaining bolt, washers, and bushing.
Torque bolt to specification.
NOTICE
The drive clutch retaining bolt has left-hand threads.
Turn the bolt counter-clockwise to install it.

47 ft-lbs (64 N·m)
8. Clean the splines on the transmission input shaft and
apply a light film of grease to the splines on the shaft.
9. Install the washer, driven clutch, flat washers and
retaining bolt.
10.Install drive belt noting direction of rotation if the belt
is being reused. See Drive Belt Installation page 6.10.
11. Torque driven clutch bolt to specification.

37 ft-lbs (50 N·m)
12.Align the outlet duct with the inner PVT cover and
install the push rivet. Tighten clamp to specification.
TORQUE

30 in-lbs (3.4 N·m)
13.Replace the clutch cover seal.
14.Reinstall outer PVT cover and secure with fasteners.
Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE

30 in-lbs (3.4 N·m)
15.Reinstall the tail light bulbs and reconnect the tail light
harnesses to the rear cab.
16.Locate the dot on the end of the lower LH frame
support.
IMPORTANT
You must install the end with the dot towards the bottom
of the frame. If not installed properly, the lower LH
frame support could break.
17.Torque screws to specification.
TORQUE
Lower LH Frame Support Screws
45 ft-lbs (60 N·m)
18.Reinstall the left rear wheel and torque wheel nuts to
specification.
TORQUE
Wheel Lug Nuts
120 ft-lbs (162 N·m)
19.Reinstall the seat and remaining body components.
20.Start the engine and test the operation of the PVT
system.
