9. Install wheel hub assembly, cone washers, and hand
tighten the castle nut. Install washers with domed
side out.
10.Install the brake caliper and torque new mounting
bolts to specification.
IMPORTANT
New bolts have a pre-applied locking agent which is
destroyed upon removal. Always use new brake caliper
mounting bolts upon assembly.
TORQUE
Front Caliper Mounting Fasteners
45 ft-lbs (61 N·m)
Rear Caliper Mounting Fasteners
40 ft-lbs (54 N·m)
11. Torque wheel hub nut to specification and install a
new cotter pin. Tighten nut slightly if necessary to
align cotter pin holes.
TORQUE
Wheel Hub Castle Nut
80 ft-lbs (108 N·m)
12.Install the wheel and (4) wheel nuts. Torque wheel
nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Wheel Lug Nuts
120 ft-lbs (162 N·m)
13.Field test the ATV for proper braking action before
putting into service. Inspect for fluid leaks and firm
brakes. Make sure the brake is not dragging when
lever is released. If the brake drags, re-check
assembly and installation.
